Sofia La Velle | 2026 CRISP Participant

Sofia La Velle is a senior majoring in psychology and Spanish with interests in health equity and social psychology. At Illinois, she works with R. Chris Fraley in the Attachment and Close Relationships Laboratory exploring attachment and communication styles through a murder-mystery themed escape room. Outside the lab, she is involved in Phi Chi, a pre-health fraternity, and works with Beckwith Residential Services as a personal assistant. At Mayo Clinic, Sofia will work with Dr. Edakkanambeth Varayil studying diabetes and nutrition within family medicine as she prepares to apply to medical school.
