About the Alliance

The Mayo Clinic and Illinois Strategic Alliance for Technology-Based Healthcare was organized in 2010 to advance research, technology, and clinical treatment options in health care.

The Alliance is a framework for collaboration in individualized medicine, and involves:

  1. Innovative educational programs to train next-generation clinicians and biomedical scientists
  2. Integrated research activities and projects, focused on information-based medicine, genomics, and point-of-care diagnostics
  3. Entrepreneurial modes to ensure full deployment and commercialization of educational and research outcomes
